Symptoms
Drop shipment order status is "Booked" and when checking the workflow status, workflow is in exception/error in the 'Purchase release -Deferred' workflow activity. The OM debug log file and the line workflow activity and processing messages show the following error messages:

You are not allowed to update Schedule Ship Date because:
You are not allowed to Schedule the line. Contact The Planner in the Shipping Warehouse
User-Defined Exception in Package OE_Purchase_Release_PVT Procedure Purchase_Release
Workflow activity Purchase Release has failed. Please fix the errors and retry the activity from the Order Form or the Workflow Monitor.
Line workflow activity error:

2) Enter sales order with drop ship sales order line
3) Book order
4) Workflow goes into exception/error.
