Retropay Creates Incorrect Retro Entries After a Payroll Reversal
(Doc ID 2217026.1)
Last updated on JULY 17, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Payroll - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When running Retropay by Element or Retropay (Enhanced), there are values incorrectly calculated for elements after a payroll run reversal.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run payroll or Quick Pay for a month => let's take one element for example => X element is processed correctly
2. Payment was then voided and a Reversal Run was processed in the same month => negative values results for the same element X, as it should be.
3. Run Retropay by Element (or Enhanced) in the next period and then reprocessed the elements, but the entries are canceled out to zero, which is incorrect as the elements should be paid (from user's point of view). So the entries are zero, instead of re-calculated.
