After Updating Supervisor Hierarchy - An Invalid Setup Has Been Detected for the Current Transaction Type in Approvals Management (Doc ID 2223658.1)

After replacing the top supervisor, when attempting to submit a self service transaction (ex. leave of absence) to approvals the following error occurs for specific people who report to the CEO.

An invalid setup has been detected for the current transaction type in approval management. Please contact System Administrator


Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Responsibility: Employee Self-Service

  2. Absence Management > Create Absence > Enter Details
  3.  Click Submit
