Error Creating or Updating Open-ended Sickness Absences via Self-service (Doc ID 2223723.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

After updating to 12.1 HRMS RUP8 or 12.1 HRMS RUP9, when trying to create or update an open-ended sickness absence via self-service the following error occurs.

RUP9 Error

ORA-01843: not a valid month in Package hr_person_absence_swi Procedure create_person_absence

 RUP8 Error in workflow notification

ERROR DETAILS:
Error Name = WFNTF_ROLE
Error Message = 3205: '<email address>' is not a valid role or user name.

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Navigate to Manager Self Service Responsibility

  2. Click the update option for an existing absence or create a new absence
     
  3. Ensure no end-date is provided.


What is working:
Users are able to enter the same absence using Professional User Interface Forms (People > Enter and Maintain > Absence)
