Problem Statement:

Self service approval process fails with the following error.

Failed Activity Submit For Approval Activity Type Function Error Name -4061 Error Message
ORA-04061: existing state of has been invalidated
ORA-04061: existing state of package body "APPS.HR_APPROVAL_WF" has been invalidated
ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package body "APPS.HR_APPROVAL_WF"
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "APPS.HR_APPROVAL_WF"

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Submit any self-service transaction that needs approval.
  2.  Error occurs.
