Symptoms

When submitting some delivery details to the OTM interface (Shipping Transportation Outbound Interface), the following error occurs:

Error
----------------------
<errorMessage xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/wsh/outbound/util/WshOtmGlobalOutbound">Unexpected Error: Error in Routine WSH_OTM_OUTBOUND.GET_DELIVERY_OBJECTS, Oracle Error - -22814 ORA-22814: attribute or element value is larger than specified in type Unexpected Error: Error in Routine WSH_OTM_OUTBOUND.GET_DELIVERY_OBJECTS, Oracle Error - -22814 ORA-22814: attribute or element value is larger than specified in type</errorMessage>

Steps to replicate:
------------------------------------------------------
1.  Book any order, assign delivery details to a delivery
2.  Specify Lot numbers for the items being shipped. The lot number will have a length greater than 32 characters
3.  Interface these deliveries to OTM using the Shipping Transportation Outbound Interface concurrent request
4. The deliveries are not send to OTM. Return status shown in the request log file is U, meaning unexpected error
5.  Review the XML file returned from Shipping Transportation Outbound Interface, see the above error message.

Business Impact:
-----------------------------------------------------
Due to this error, deliveries are not planned in OTM for items whose serial numbers have a length greater than 32 characters. This causes shipment delays and unhappy customers.
