Symptoms
On : 12.1.3 and Database 12c,
When attempting to run the E Business Applications Oracle Internet Directory registration script, the following error occurs:
java.sql.SQLException: Could not commit with auto-commit set on

at oracle.jdbc.driver.PhysicalConnection.commit(PhysicalConnection.java:2403)
at oracle.apps.fnd.txk.ias.FNDPreferences.removeFromDB(FNDPreferences.java:274)
at oracle.apps.fnd.txk.ias.FNDPreferences.remove(FNDPreferences.java:86)
at oracle.apps.fnd.txk.ias.config.Instance.removeFNDPreferences(Instance.java:795)
at oracle.apps.fnd.txk.ias.References.removePreferences(References.java:161)
at oracle.apps.fnd.txk.ias.References.main(References.java:189)
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Run the E Business Oracle Internet Directory registration script.
Due to this issue, Oracle Internet Directory cannot be de-registered or registered without error.
Changes
The 12.1.3 E Business Application instance was upgraded to the 12c database release.
