R12 E-Business Suite Autoconfig Run Fails With 'Error failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit' And 'SSLLogLevel: Invalid argument' Due To Variable s_apache_loglevel In ssl_conf_1013.tmp (Doc ID 2262273.1)

Goal

E-Business Suite R12 Applications Technology Stack, Autoconfig Engine related issues

When parameter s_apache_loglevel is set to 'crit' per <Note 238979.1>, Autoconfig fails with the following error:

'Error --> Process (index=1,uid=<id>,pid=8000) failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit
Log:
<DIR>/opmn/HTTP_Server~1.log'

Checking the HTTP_Server~1.log we see the following message:

'17/01/01 10:00:00 Start process
--------
<DIR>/conf/ssl.conf:
SSLLogLevel: Invalid argument'

The following has been identified as the cause:

File $FND_TOP/admin/template/ssl_conf_1013.tmp version 120.11.12010000.3 contains the following line:

SSLLogLevel %s_apache_loglevel%

However the $CONTEXT_FILE with adxmlctx.tmp 120.271.12010000.46 contains variable : <ssl_loglevel oa_var="s_ssl_loglevel">warn</ssl_loglevel>

Thus when parameter s_apache_loglevel is set to value crit per <Note 238979.1> and autoconfig is run, the above reported errors occur.

The issue is documented in more detail under the following defect:

<Bug 24943934> - SSL_CONF_1013.TMP SETS SSLLOGLEVEL TO S_APACHE_LOGLEVEL CONTEXT VARIABLE

The defect discusses how the log level for SSL is pulled from the the apache log level set in the context file.
