Symptoms

On : 12 version, Customers Module, when updating a profile class at site level a warning message appears.   When user attempts to assign new profile class to site level, profile class is not assigned.

Customer has been created with Profile Class assignment in Account Level. User attempts to assign a different profile option in site level.
A warning message appears:
Selecting a new Profile Class will cause all values, including Currency Rates and Limits and Late Charges settings, to be set to the default for the newly selected Profile Class. Are you sure you want to change the profile class? Yes/ No.

When Yes is selected, the profile is reverted to the profile assigned at the account level instead of getting changed to the new profile class.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. attempt to assign a different profile option in site level
2. Select 'Yes' to warning message.
3. the profile is reverted to old one rather than new chosen one.
