Portugal Localization - SAFT Setup Steps for New Legal Requirement from Law Decree n.º 302/2016 from 2 of December 2016 (Doc ID 2274576.1)

Purpose

 The purpose of this document is to provide the required setup steps for SAFT structure - 1.04_01 to be compliant with the Decree 02/2016 of 2nd December 2016.

Scope

The Decree 302/2016 of 2nd December 2016 approved a new file structure, which introduces a new file structure from 1st of July, 2017 in accordance with Certification Law Portaria nº302/2016. The new requirement, including the mapping between SNC accounts and Taxonomy codes, is mandatory from 1st  of July, 2017.
After 1st July, PT Tax Authorities may request SAFT program to retrieve data since January, 2017 and SAFT would need to extract the new structure including the SNC and taxonomy accounts.

Note: Before you start the setup steps, please ensure that you have applied the latest patch available for SAFT. The information about latest patch is available on My Oracle Support Note 473622.1 R12 EMEA Add-on Localizations - Portugal.
For 12.2 version it is required to install Seed Patch before SAFT patch.
