OIE: Alpha Numeric Credit Card Numbers Are Not Processing Correctly For IExpense (Doc ID 2282348.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why are Alpha Numeric Credit Card Numbers not processing correctly for iExpenses when using a 3rd party solution that encrypts the Credit Card Number in the GL1025 file.
e.g. a valid CC# 379455658671218 now comes into the system encrypted as 379455QGXNP1218.

The concurrent request for American Express Loader and Validation completes successfully however it only creates a recording AP_CARDS_ALL with CARD_NUMBER populated with this Alphanumeric value.  No corresponding record is created in the IBY_CREDITCARD table.   Employees are unable to be assigned to this credit card.

NOTE: In the images below and/or the attached document, user details / company name / address / email / telephone number represent a fictitious sample
(based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance). Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner
