Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2 Applications Manager, RapidClone related issues 

When adding an applications tier node per <Note 1383621.1> - Adding a New Application Tier Node to an Existing System, adcfgclone.pl fails with the below errors:

10:00:00 PM com.sun.corba.se.impl.legacy.connection.SocketFactoryConnectionImpl
WARNING: "IOP00000000: (COMM_FAILURE) Connection failure: socketType: IIOP_CLEAR_TEXT; hostname: <HOSTNAME>; port: <PORT>"
org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: SUN minor code: 100 completed: No
...
Caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: <HOSTNAME>
RUN Weblogic AdminServer is down or AdminServer Credentials provided are incorrect!!

Some items which have already been checked when the error occurs:
A. The Hostname is reachable
B. The weblogic admin server on RUN and Patch edition are running
C. The weblogic password is correct.
