Last updated on MARCH 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Users have a requisition with no item-so a non catalog item and on the requisition the UOM is entered as EACH which is in class "Count"

When they create a Purchase Order from a Requisition-the only available UOM to change to is another uom in the same class "Count" to pick from

Users are expecting ALL  uom's to pick from - this is non catalog item so why not be able to pick any UOM?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE
-----------------------------------

  1. create non catalog req for a uom in a specific class
  2. create a Purchase Order from the requisition
  3. attempt to modify the uom on the created po to another uom that is in another class (each to gallons or something like this)
