Purpose

The goal of this note is to demonstrate the Alternative Pricing utilizing the PO custom Price Pub.

In this demonstration the steps will be shown on how to use the Custom Pricing Public package "PO_CUSTOM_PRICE_PUB" and the procedure "GET_CUSTOM_PO_PRICE" to override the sourcing document price with the price entered on the requisition.

Scope

This document is intended for any user to illustrate and demonstrate the Alternative Pricing utilizing the PO custom Price Pub

This package can be altered and modified for many different business case scenarios.

In this demonstration the ability to let users enter a different requisition item price for a Blanket sourced item is illustrated.

Normal functionality lets users modify the price of a sourced item on the requisition, but when the requisition is autocreated into a standard po/Release the source document prices is used.

Sometimes there is a business need to let the user entered Requisition price become the price on the PO and the code illustrated in this package/procedure will show how this is accomplished.
