Rapid Order Base Throwing Up Error With Mandatory Fields

Symptoms
The Rapid Order Base screen is customized and a few fields are added (that are made as required) under Enter Items to be Shipped section.
Even after entering the required fields and then clicking the submit button, it again throws a pop up message that the values for mandatory fields are not entered.
Clicking OK of this error message creates the order release successfully.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Rapid Order Screen>>Enter the mandatory fields and click submit
2. Throws up error saying "field is required"
