Prepare Mass Additions Error APP-OFA-48392 (Doc ID 2360267.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to save in the Prepare Mass Additions form, if asset number is left blank the following error is received:

APP-OFA-48392: The asset number cannot have a null value if you are using the custom asset numbering scheme


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Mass Additions > Prepare Mass Additions
  2. Query for selected row
  3. Review all information, update Queue to correct status (Post) and Save
  4. Notice Asset Number field is blank
  5. Error is seen in Error Box - APP-OFA-48392: The asset number cannot have a null value if you are using the custom asset numbering scheme
