Location Capacity is not Honored in Network Routing when ALLOCATE SERVICE PROVIDERS BY OM GROUP set to True

(Doc ID 2364027.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Operational Planning - Version 6.4.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Network routing is setup such that location capacity optimization is considered during planning.  To do so, the planning parameter CHECK LOCATION CAPACITY is set to TRUE.

When setting the Network Routing Logic Parameter ALLOCATE SERVICE PROVIDERS BY OM GROUP to true, planning does not honor the maximum quantity defined for a location capacity and shipments are still planned successfully exceeding
the location capacity, when expected to fail.
