Symptoms

Following the application of HRMS 12.X RUP10, RetroPay (Enhanced) is raising errors when formula with PQP_DERIVE_APP seeded function is called in the fast formula.

ERROR

APP-PAY-51119: Error was encountered when processing Element Type [ELEMENT NAME]
APP-PAY-51120: Error was encountered when processing formula [FORMULA NAME]
An error occurred during formula execution:
The value returned from formula [FORMULA NAME] for [VARIABLE] is NULL.
Cause: The value was set from a function call that returns NULL.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create open-ended absence for employee
2. Process payroll
3. Close absence
4. Process payroll
5. Amend assignment retrospectively
6. Run Retro-Notifications Report (Enhanced) - PDF
7. Run Retropay Enhanced
8. Issue replicated, RetroPay errors on assignment
