What are the Processes Associated With the Generic Upgrade Mechanism, What are they for? <Note 561154.1>

" Single Latest Balance Table Upgrade - Currently, the latest balances for an assignment or person are stored in the following three tables -

PAY_PERSON_LATEST_BALANCES
PAY_ASSIGNMENT_LATEST_BALANCES
PAY_BALANCE_CONTEXT_VALUES

Once the upgrade process is run for the Single Latest Balance Table Upgrade, the data is moved from the above three table to the PAY_LATEST_BALANCES table. Any payroll processes i.e. Payroll Run, Quick Pay, Balance Adjustment runs after the upgrade has been performed will maintain and use the new table. "

This was designed to improve the performance of the payroll run and balance calls.

After completing the process, find that the total number of rows equals the count in PAY_PERSON_LATEST_BALANCES and PAY_ASSIGNMENT_LATEST_BALANCES
