QuickPay Fails with the Error "The value returned from formula REGULAR_EARNINGS for DUMMY is NULL" (Doc ID 2385168.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

QuickPay fails with the following error.

Error was encountered when processing assignment P41967
Error was encountered when processing Element Type DC Salary
Error was encountered when processing Skip formula REGULAR_EARNINGS

An error occurred during formula execution:

The value returned from formula REGULAR_EARNINGS for DUMMY is NULL.

Cause: The value was set from a function call that returns NULL.

Another possible cause is that DUMMY is passed to a function in PL/SQL OUT mode

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Login as US HRMS Manager
  2.  Go to QuickPay form
     (N) Fastpath > QuickPay
  3.  Run QuickPay
  4.  Error occurs
