Shipment Delete Before Persist Event not Raised when Manually Deleting a Shipment from the User Interface (Doc ID 2386156.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.4.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When manually deleting a shipment from the user interface, this action does not publish a before persist ShipmentModRemoved topic. Thus, with this issue, an agent can no longer be triggered that is listening for a ShipmentModRemoved before persist event.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It is expected that a before persist ShipmentModRemoved topic is published when manually deleting a shipment from the user interface.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Shipment Management -> Buy Shipments -> Buy Shipment
2. Search for a shipment and delete it from the finder set.
3. A previously enabled log file will show that the ShipmentModRemoved topic is not published with beforepersist=true
4. Any workflow depending on this will not be triggered (i.e. automation agents)

Note: This is only expected when manually deleting a shipment from the user interface. Any other action (i.e. unassigning an order from a shipment) will not raise this event as designed.
