For example, the following is  performed in a Project Cost Enabled organization in a Demo instance and the transaction default is not applied.

  1. Create a transaction default
Nav: Inventory > Setup > Transactions > Item Transaction Defaults
    Item: AS20001
    Default For: Move Order Receipt
    Subinventory: Stores
    Locator: AS.20.0001..

  2. Create move order
    Nav: Inventory > On-hand, Avaiability > On-Hand Quantity
    Query item=AS20001
Expand quantity display to find Sub=Stores.
With cursor on onhand having locator = AS.20.0001.P2-Dynamic Engines-Cost.4\.0
    Choose Tools > Mass Move
    Enter Sub=Stores
Move order requisition is created: (move order 5112107)

  3. Move order form is automatically opened.
Receive  message : FRM-40212: Invalid value for field PROJECT_NUMBER_ORIG
    Click Destination tab and see:
    • Subinventory=Stores
    • Locator=NULL
