E-Business Suite 12.2 Integrated SOA Gateway, Installation related issues

When attempting to use the following command users receive the below error:

>ant -f txkISGConfigurator.xml configure

 
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Follow <Note 1311068.1> - Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway, Release 12.2 (Doc ID 1311068.1)

2. Running the ant -f txkISGConfigurator.xml script

- attempt to run ant -f txkISGConfigurator.xml configure with TCP_VALIDNODE_CHECKING=yes in the $TNS_ADMIN/sqlnet.ora file results in SEVERE: IO Error get minus one from a read cell.

Changing the sqlnet.ora parameter

- attempt to run ant -f txkISGConfigurator.xml configure with TCP_VALIDNODE_CHECKING=no in the $TNS_ADMIN/sqlnet.ora file  results in APPS.APP_EXCEPTION line 72
