R12 Bank Branch Does Not Exist In Treasury. Please link this Bank Account's Bank Branch to a Bank Branch in Treasury

When attempting to create bank account with treasury use, the following error occurs.
Bank Branch does not exist in Treasury. Please link this Bank Account's Bank Branch to a Bank Branch in Treasury.
In some cases, the following additional error may occur:
Error: Bank Account Currency cannot be null. Please enter the Bank Account Currency
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Cash Management : Setup : Banks : Bank Accounts
2. Enable Treasury use
3. Enter Treasury Bank Account Reference
4. Continue further and get error.
