Symptoms

When attempting to view the Statement of Earnings (SOE), the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-20101: Error in pay_us_soe_balances_pkg.populate_local_balance - ORA-20001: Assertion failure detected at location get_new_latest_bal_value:1.

Cause: an internal error has occurred at location get_new_latest_bal_value:1.

Action: please contact your Oracle customer representative.

FRM-40735: KEY-EXEQRY trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-20101

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Generate payroll
2. View SOE
