12.2 E-Business Suite Diagnostic Framework Data Collection Report Fails With Error 'java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space' Due To Low Heap Space For Oacore

Diagnostic reports fail with the following error:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

For example when running the PO diagnostic via the following navigation the above error occurs:

Login to Oracle E-Business Suite
Select the responsibility "Oracle Diagnostics '
Select application "Oracle Purchasing" from the "Application" list of values
Click the "Advanced" tab
Scroll down to group "Data Collection"
Select test name "Purchase Order/Release Number"

 

The error can be confirmed by checking the associated log files:

$ cat /fs1/inst/apps/TEST_ebs/logs/appl/oam/diagnostics/logs/171022.log
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
