JDBC Connection Passwords Are Reset Blank (Doc ID 2427002.1)

Symptoms

Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.7.160119 version

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
------------------------------

Password filed of data source is set to blank causing reports to fail and data base user account
is being locked for trying with null password.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
---------------------------------

The data source information like connection string and user details are expected to be retained.


WHAT IS WORKING
----------------------------
This issue happens only for a few data sources. Other data sources are working fine.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login to BI Publisher.
2. Click on Administration.
3. Click on JDBC Connection under 'Data Sources' section.
4. Click on a data source and see that the Password field is blank.
