Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

E-Business Suite R12 User Management, Security Reports issues

Some User Management Security reports incorrectly show a function is not accessible through the responsibility if the function is excluded in some other menu.

The report returns the following message:

"The function is not accessible through the responsibility."

For example this occurs when using the Security reports to identify users with access to specific functions, and running the report to identify all users with access to a known function.

In some cases the report will incorrectly show a user does not have access to the function.

The reason for not having access is shown in the report as the  User/Resp Start or End date is greater or less than SYSDATE.

The issue can be reproduced via the following steps:

1. Navigate Sysadmin > User Management Responsibility > Security Reports
    Report Type: List of Users
For A Given: Function Name: Item Costs

2. When customer expands on one of the user, the report returns:

"The function is not accessible through the responsibility."

3. This is incorrect as the MENU is accessible to the User through any Forms personalization.
