Symptoms
Problem Statement:
When attempting to enter a new salary for a new employee in the Salary form
OR
When attempting to hire an applicant in the Person form,
the following error occurs:
APP-PAY-289855: You cannot enter salary for an employee who lacks a salary basis. Please assign the employee a salary basis before proceeding.
Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to HRMS Manager responsibility > People > Enter and Maintain > Assignment > Salary.
2. Enter a new salary for an employee.
3. Save.
4. Get error.
OR
1. Navigate to HRMS Manager responsibility > People > Enter and Maintain.
2. Query the affected person who is an applicant.
3. Click on Action and select Hire Applicant > Save.
4. Get error.
