E-Business Suite 12.2 Applications Manager, Rapidclone related issues

Error while running adcfgclone.pl on Apps tier as part of cloning process:

adcfgclone failed with - ERROR: Script failed, exit code 255

Following error present in RCloneApplyAppstier_xxxxxxx.log

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run adpreclone on source instance
2. Copy files to target instance
3. Execute adcfgclone.pl on apps tier
