Receive Error "A component references this operation" When Tyring To Delete An Operation From A Routing (Doc ID 2464849.1)

Symptoms

Actual behavior

When the user is trying to perform Delete Group to delete an operation, the following error is received:

A component references this operation


Steps

  1. Navigate: Bills of Material > Routings > Routings
  2. Query for a routing you want to delete an operation from
  3. Place your cursor on the line with the operation you want to delete.
  4. Click/Select the Delete icon
  5. The "Delete Operation" form opens.
    Select an existing delete group to add this delete operation to or click the "New Group" button to create a new delete group.
    Click OK and Save.
  6. Navigate: Bills of Material > Delete Groups
  7. Query for the Delete Group
  8. Click the Delete Group button (this launches a concurrent program to perform the delete)
    Choose menu option "View > Requests" and see the process ends with a Warning
  9. Place your cursor on the Item having the operation you are trying to delete
  10. Click the Operations button and see the "Status" column shows "Error"
  11. Click the Errors button to see the error "A component references this operation"
