R12:OIE: Expense Report Has Null Attribute_Category in AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_LINES_ALL Table When Long Expense Item (Doc ID 2483723.1)

Symptoms


DFF(expense report line) is configured on the expense type, but when set expense item length more than 30 characters in expense template, AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_LINES_ALL.attribute_category will be null for new saved expense reports.


When DFF(expense report line) is configured on the expense type, AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_LINES_ALL.attribute_category should be populated.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Payables > Setup > Invoice > Expense Report Templates
2. Query template name
3. Set expense item with length more than 30 characters, save
4. Navigate to iExpenses > Expense Home, create new expense report and save
5. Check AP_EXPENSE_REPORT_LINES_ALL.attribute_category column, it is null
