Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When trying to delete assignment datetrack record with "Next" option, following error occurs.

The assignment is not eligible for the element.

You may not grant the element &ELEMENT_NAME to assignment number &ASSIGNMENT_NUMBER on &SESSION_DATE. The assignment is not eligible for the element on that date. Eligibility is determined by the element link. In order to be eligible, the link criteria must be met by the assignment at all times during the life of an element entry.

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

   Example:

   <Assignment records>

01-JAN-2017 31-DEC-2017 null (All assignment information is default)
01-JAN-2018 31-DEC-4712 123

 

  1.  Login as HRMS Manager responsibility
  2.  Go to Assignment form
     (N) People > Enter and Maintain > (B) Assignment
  3.  Change the effective date to 31-DEC-2017
  4.  Delete the assignment record starting from 01-JAN-2018 with "Next" option
  5.  Error occurs
