Unable to Change the Item Status as the Field is Protected Against Update (Doc ID 2502009.1)

Symptoms

When trying to change an item's Item Status attribute in the Item Define form (from "Inactive" to "Active" in this case),
the Item Status field is inactive (greyed out) so the change cannot be made.

Steps

1. Navigate Inventory > Items > Organization Items
2. Query the item
3. The "Item Status" field is protected against update (greyed out).
