Invalid Operating Unit Error On Timecard (Doc ID 2554310.1)

Symptoms

If a person creates a timecard on the day prior to their HR assignment being updated, when trying to update the timecard
later on an error occurs

ERROR

"Invalid Operating Unit, Please contact your system administrator"

OR

Error" ORA-20001: Unable to derive Operating Unit for worker."



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. With Self-Service Time (or equivalent responsibility) Create a timecard
  2. With HRMS Responsibility change the employee's assignment to an Organization in a different Operating Unit
  3. Re-query the timecard and try to update it.
  4. It triggers the error message above
