Symptoms

When attempting to check the primary box in the assignment form, the following error occurs.

1st Error received when checking Primary box for assignment

HR_51253_PYP_ASS__NOT_VALID

2nd Error received when trying to save.

APP-PER-52156: You cannot update this assignment with these details. To correct the original problem please query this assignment and reapply your change.

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Navigate to HRMS Manager responsibility
  2.  Go to Assignment form
     (N) People > Enter and Maintain > (B) Assignment
  3.  Check the primary box.
  4.  HR_51253_PYP_ASS__NOT_VALID error occurs.
  5.  Save
  6.  APP-PER-52156 error occurs
