Schedule Ship Date Is Moved To Current Date From A Past Due Delinquency Upon Demand Class Update (Doc ID 2573478.1)

Last updated on MARCH 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Updating demand class code on an order-line through Order Organizer or SO form (manual) or through API (OE_ORDER_PUB.process_order), we noticed that SCHEDULE_SHIP_DATE is moved from a Past due (delinquent) date to the current date.

(1) Is this a standard behavior?
(2) Is there a system setting that controls whether Schedule_Ship_Date is moved to current date from a past due delinquency
(3) Our business wanted to retain the past due dates upon SO line update. How can the past due date be unchanged?

For Example:

Before Update
-----------------
Order schedule ship date before Update of demand class: 10-Jul-2019
Demand Class Code before update: XXXX

After Update
----------------
Demand Class code after update: YYYY
Order schedule ship date after Update of demand class: 16-Jul-2019 (which is always current date)
