Last updated on MARCH 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.2.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is trying to pre-populate the Request Date field at sales order line while creating the Sales Orders. They opted to use defaulting rule for same. The defaulting rule package is working fine while creating new orders however fails for Copy orders. Once customer copies the Sales order from an existing order:

i) If the Request date is in past then the request date gets populated via Defaulting Rule
ii) If the Request date is in future then the request date does not get defaulted from Defaulting Rule and gets copied from the source sales order line.
