MSCA APP Not Able to View Complete Text for Locator on Device (Doc ID 2595845.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Mobile Application Server - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On 12.2.6 version, Mobile Applications Foundation

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Migrated from windows mobile device to new Android Device (Zebra TC70/TC77) due to the obsolescence of the windows mobile as the Windows mobile device are out of service.
Running on Android 8.1 and use Official/standard Android MSCA APK 1.3.0.
Before the migration, could see the complete value in the Locator field. Since the migration, cannot see the entire value. In order to see, it is necessary to click on the Locator icon.
The operator needs to do this for each transaction and is loosing lots of time. This is happening in all mobile pages, where the Locator field is present.

As indicated in the Document 2108155.1, tried modifying the mobile-key.ini file (MWA server) without any success.

Also tried to manage this issue with Android setup (character size and so...).

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect to be able to use the application with an Android Device and see the complete Locator, without needing to click on the icon to expand, as with the Windows mobile.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Attempt to use the application with an Android Device (Zebra TC70/TC77)

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
There are many warehouses with several hundred thousand items. Due to this issue, there is a big loss of production due to having to click on an icon to expand the Locator field, in order to see the complete value.
