Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When applying the patch, worker job failed loading pay_balance_types_tab.xdf or pay_taxability_rules_tab.xdf with the errors below.

ORA-02293: cannot validate (HR.PAY_BAL_TAX_TYPE_CHK) - check constraint violated
ORA-02293: cannot validate (HR.PAY_TXR_TAX_TYPE_CHK) - check constraint violated

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Apply an upgrade patch.
     e.g. patch:26787767(12.2.8), patch:28840850(12.2.9), patch:30399999(12.2.10)
  2.  Worker jobs fail loading xdf files.
