Mobile Administrator Responsibility/Role Fails With ORA-20001 APP-FND-01971: Error in FND_USER_RESPONSIBILITY_GROUPS_API.Insert Assignment Error When Attempting to Activate It For SYSADMIN User (Doc ID 2604498.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.1 version, SUPPORT

When attempting to add role/responsibility Mobile Administrator, the following error occurs.

Role/Responsibility has been end dated for SYSADMIN user.

However, other users have access to the role/responsibility.

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

================

1.  Add Mobile Administrator role in User Management.

2.  Navigate to Security -> User -> Define.

3.  Query up SYSADMIN user.

4.  In the list of responsibilities assigned, query Mobile Administrator responsibility.

5.  Responsibility is shown as end dated.

6.  Attempt to remove end date.

7.  Receive error below:

Oracle error -20001: ORA-20001 APP-FND-01971: Error in FND_USER_RESPONSIBILITY_GROUPS_API.Insert Assignment. Cannot insert this row because there is already a direct assignment of the user SYSADMIN to the role FND_RESP|JTM|MOBILE_ADMINISTRATORS|STANDARD in the Workflow User/Role tables. has been detected in FND_USER_RESP_GROUPS_API.INSERT_ASSIGNMENT.


Changes

Attempted to activate responsibility.

 

For the SYSADMIN User:

Responsibility is end dated the WF_LOCAL_ROLES table.

Responsibility is end dated in User Management.

Responsibility is end dated in Forms.

 

When workflow script is run from WFDS Data Collection Script (Doc ID 742062.1), the role is also end dated.
