Incorrect Net Book Value After Amortized Life Change
(Doc ID 2608225.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 03, 2021
Applies to:
Oracle Assets - Version 12.2.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After a series of transactions, an asset appears as fully reserved, but this is not desired. There is a different specific NBV value being sought for the asset.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add an asset.
2. Change Deprn Method to one where the asset would be fully reserved.
3. Follow this with an amortized adjustment to some greater life amount where asset would no longer be fully reserved. However, because this was amortized and the asset was already seen as fully reserved, the NBV remains as 0.
