Goal

When updating a project (for example changing the status) via 'Project' form (PAXPREPR.frm), the user receives the error 'FRM-40654: Record has been updated. Requery block to see change'. This is a known issue and is due to either leading or trailing spaces on text fields in PA_PROJECTS_ALL or PA_TASKS tables. Note that the projects/tasks are created from an external source that are eventually created in Oracle Projects.

Oracle Support provided a data fix script called afshrchk.sql which does resolve the issue. Is there a permanent solution to this type of issue?
