Can Email Center connect if plain text password option is encrypted

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The messaging team wants to disable plain text in MDaemon password profile. The application would need to send out secure connection request using StartTLS or SecureSSL via IMAP port 993.
As of now CRM mail center connects only if plain text is enabled.
Can we have CRM Email mail center to talk with MDaemon if plain text password is disabled.
