Interface Trip Stop concurrent process.
Symptoms
- Occurrence: for some internal orders shipments, when the trip is closed, and the Interface Trip Stop (ITS) request is submitted - ITS ends in warning. This can happen to any item, any time. No pattern noticed by users. This is not reproducible at will.
- Debug: when we re run the ITS Request manually (with Debug level 5), the log file shows that one of the shipment line item was not on the price list.
- Workaround: we have added the Item to a price list (the price list that appears on the sales order) and run the ITS request. It now completes normal and delivery and trip get closed.
- Concern: why do we have to add item to the price list for internal orders? For internal orders, the price should be taken from Item Cost. Adding internal items to the price list is neither necessary by design, nor an acceptable solution for customer.
