Why is a R12 Pricing Formula() Behaviour Different Than Same Formula From R11? (Doc ID 2662356.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to query within a factor list,
cannot enter desired value  for "Pricing Attribute Value From Low".

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. responsibility Order Pricing Manager
2. Navigate to: Pricing Formula > Formula Setup
3. Query for formula
4. Do a find for
  base pricing attribute = <select value from LOV>
  base pricing attribute context: <select value from LOV>
  base pricing attribute: <select value from LOV>
  operator: Between
   value from: 1234
   value to: 1234
  adjustment: <enter value here>
  click on Find (b)
5. Open factor list :
6. Now try to do a FIND as follows:
  factor pricing attribute context:<select value from LOV>
  factor pricing attribute:<select value from LOV>
  query operator: Between
  enter 1234 for Pricing Attribute Value From Low"
  which opens the LOV for "Pricing Attribute Value From Low"
  -- All it shows is XXXX
