ORA-01403/FRM-40735/ORA-02292 Errors When Attempting to End Date Payroll (Doc ID 2669993.1)

Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When attempting to end date the payroll, following error occurs.

ORA-01403: no data found
FRM-40735: ON-DELETE trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-02292.

 

ORA-02292 error occurs in the following delete statement.

ORA-02292: integrity constraint (HR.PAY_PAYROLL_ACTIONS_FK8) violated - child record found
----- Current SQL Statement for this session (sql_id=0gkbh8ur9vddm) -----
DELETE FROM PER_TIME_PERIODS TPE WHERE TPE.PAYROLL_ID = :B2 AND TPE.END_DATE >= :B1

 

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Login as HRMS Manager responsiblity
  2.  Go to Payroll form
     (N) Payroll > Description
  3.  Delete the payroll with End Date option
  4.  Error occurs
