UPK: Error When Selecting A Player In Knoweldge Center: "The system may not be connected with the tracking environment" (Doc ID 2679871.1)

Symptoms

Using UPK/Knowledge Center 12.1.0.5

When attempting to open a player package,
the following error occurs.


The system may not be connected with the tracking environment. Your progress may not be tracked. To resolve this issue, try restarting the content. If the issue continues, contact your system administrator. Received error code #111 General Termination Failure An error occurred while attempting to terminate the session.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Launch play.exe in UPK publishing location, or Player link in Knowledge Center in ANY browser (Mozilla Firefox, IE, MS Edge, Google Chrome)
