Complete Defunct HR Workflow Processes Request Is Purging Old and New Workflows (Doc ID 2705841.1)

Symptoms



ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------------------------

Observed that an old Transaction was deleted from HR_API_TRANSACTIONS table, just by running the process "Complete Defunct HR Workflow Processes".

The process "Purge Obsolete Workflow Runtime Data" is not run to get the same Purged.



EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
--------------------------------------

Expect that the old Transaction should be retained and not deleted from HR_API_TRANSACTIONS table, just by running the process "Complete Defunct HR Workflow Processes".

The Process "Purge Obsolete Workflow Runtime Data" should be run to get the same Purged.

STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Login using "HRMS Manager" Responsibility.

2. Navigate to View --> Request in tool bar.

3. Now run the concurrent program "Complete Defunct HR Workflow Processes" with Age parameter set as "365"

4. This purged a notification that was sent way back in Jun 2011.

5. This purge happened without running the Concurrent Program "Purge Obsolete Workflow Runtime Data", which is mandatory for Workflow data Purge.
