Symptoms

On : 12.2.7 version, Database for Application Technology

When attempting to upgrade the database to 19c multitenant, the following error occurs.

FUNCTION: main::getServiceNameFromCtx [ Level 1 ]
ERRORMSG: Failed to read patch service name from DB context file.

Changes

An Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) cloned environment was created with the name 'PATCH'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. following Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 with Oracle Database 19c (Doc ID 2552181.1)
2. Trying step 2.5 Convert Database to Multitenant Architecture, 6. Run the post PDB script
3. $ perl $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/txkPostPDBCreationTasks.pl ...
